Koreatown comfort is a reflection of Koreatown, Los Angeles after living in rural white-centric USA cities. Although there is a sense of ease in being surrounded by people of similar heritage, this Korean bubble also struggles with a simmering layer of self hate and white inferiority that is more understated than most stateside cities. Los Angeles may be hailed as the most diverse city in the States yet its diversity does not minimize the complex colonizer mindset that has embedded itself in the Western system.
