Marking

Critiquing the white cube space of a gallery, Marking addresses the system of the commercial art world in context to marginalized artists who adhere to this specific structure. This installation was created as a two part viewing experience. The documentation of the performance that created the space as well as the actual installation was open for view for five days before the space returned back to its original white cube aesthetic. The space empty of any physical weight or markings was then open for another five days for the public before the piece reached its conclusion.
